Is the wet belt a deal breaker ?

I've recently been considering buying the Peugeot 2008 second hand. The car is giving me a lot for it's price bracket. It's been heavily praised by it's owners. The only complaint I've found is about the wet belt. The information is scattered. Some place I read the company stopped using it after 2021, other places I read it says its still being used in our region. High maintenance is not something I want, I'm use to a corolla. Should I stay clear of this brand.

I would not rely on that, regardless what car you are buying. Nothing beats the inspection by a professional mechanic.

What engine is it? Car year?

How long do you plan to have it?

Should I stay clear of this brand.

They are part of Stellantis, so, by default, stay well clear of them. Anything made by Stellantis is junk.
