Hello,
I found a 2001 Toyota corolla LE Sedan 4D. it has 147,000 miles. The guy is asking for $1,500.
The guy says it is in perfect condition and only the stereo does not work.
He says it is a clean title and I verified it.
The car was manufactured in the USA in New United Motor Mfg Inc in Fremont, CA. It has the 1.8L L4 DOHC 16V FWD gasoline engine and an automatic transmission.
I am still yet to see the car.
What are important things to check for, and is it a good deal?
Thank you.
Thank you all.
I mentioned that I will run several tests that would last 1-2h, so the guy said he won't trust it on the highway. I guess it was bad
Per Scotty an easy way to check for oil burning is to check the tailpipe for oil residue. Despite the low price you should have a mechanic check it out though, you don't want to buy a $1500 "bargain" that's on its last legs and would need thousands of dollars in repairs.
That generation is notorious for oil burning. Make sure your mechanic check the car so you don't get an oil burner.
It could be if the car check out with a mechanic
