My friend has a slightly wet (one small section) of a key fob She thinks, but is not sure the key was washed in a pants pocket.. The car is a 2017 Nissan Murano Platinum V6 with Nissan Intelligent key. I pried open the fob since they said they received a defective key message on the dash, I assumed it is a battery issue. What can be done to resolve this? Right now, she hasn't found the other key. In the linked picture, the pointed end is where the fob shows evidence of water. https://postimg.cc/6TWBxDDV 
Well if it was washed it's shot now. Those things can't handle water. See if a locksmith can do
