I live in the Caribbean and I am interested in a five-seater Japanese SUV with paddle shifters and a nice sound system. The two I am interested in are the new right hand drive Deep Crystal Blue Mica Mazda CX-5 Gasoline Engine 25S Sport Appearance 4wd SUV from Mazda Japan, or what I prefer the new right-hand drive Heat Blue Lexus RX 350 F Sport with a Dark Rose Genuine Leather interior from Lexus Japan. I really like the Lexus because it has my favorite exterior and interior color combination for an automobile. However, I know Scotty generally discourages persons from buying vehicles with a turbo charged engine and the Lexus comes with a 2.4 liter turbo charged engine. I do not mind the price of the Lexus, however, because it has the colors that I want plus dual exhausts and fog lights. The Mazda CX-5 does not have fog lights and it has a darker blue exterior and it does not have a red leather interior. However, I will like to know if the Mazda CX-5 is a better buy in terms of it not coming with a turbo charged engine and presumably having better predicted reliability as a result of this (and being cheaper to buy). I basically want to know which one will be the better vehicle to buy with me living in the Caribbean and my tastes and so on and why?
No, the problem is if you get a Japanese import, they're not the same as the American vehicles and you may have a hard time finding a mechanic that can work on it and buying the right parts for the car. If I were you, I'd import something from the United States, not from Japan
@scottykilmer I live on a small Island in the Eastern Caribbean. We drive on the left side of the road like the English and the Japanese do. Most of our vehicles on the island are imported from Japan. I just wanted to know out of a non-turbo Mazda CX-5 and a turbo Lexus RX 350 F Sport in the colors that I want, which one will be a better buy?

a better buy?
Well generally turbo cars will not last as long as non turbo cars. Scotty generally says the same thing and recommends naturally aspirated cars where possible. Therefore, I would recommend the non turbo Mazda CX-5. As with any used car purchase, have a trusted mechanic check it out before purchase.
