I have a 2007 Jeep Commander. It idles poorly and occasionally stalls out after continuous startups and in traffic after getting gas. Idles high for the first minute after startup. Changed the fuel cap, evap canister, cleaned throttle body and checked hoses. Can always tell it’s not idling normal by vibrations in the steering wheel about every two seconds.

Do you always start diagnosing with the complex items first and save the simple ones for last?
