Hello scotty, I’ve recently bought a JDM r18 A1 1.8L engine for my 2007 EX civic.

I still used the old transmission on it which has about 260,000 miles. I’ve only put about 10,000 miles on it myself but previous owner says they maintained it.

Upon the engine installation, new fluids were put in. Do you think that was a good idea? Has about 410 miles on it so far since everything was put back together. It down shifts, reverses, accelerates all pretty good  it honestly feels like a new car, but how long more do you think my Honda civic 2007 ex transmission will last? Again she’s at roughly 267,000.

manual or automatic?

You already got it and pray it last a long time. If it is automatic and the previous owner took care of it (the ATF was changed regularly), you do the same, if not, just leave it alone. In the case of manual transmission, take care of clutch (if needed) and you are fine.

With that mileage, it's a dice roll. Best you can do is maintain it and DON'T drive it hard everywhere you go.
