I have kia cerato/forte with 249,000 km (154,721 miles) mostly highway driving.
When the car is at slow speed of 10-20 km/h and I try to accelerate hard the car slows down almost stopping for a second before starting to accelerate,
I changed the ATF oil 3 months ago the car got a bit better but still slowing before accelerating but not as much as before, but the problem showed up again after 3 months.
Scotty explained the same problem in a short video ( https://youtu.be/KWqHBs_17Dk?t=13 ) (0:13)
My question: Is there a way to get the transmission fixed? keep it that way and not getting it worse? or should I give up on it?.
You can use the Lucas anti slip transmission additive. drain one quarter of the ATF and add the Lucas and pray it helps.
Realise you’re on borrowed time with your Kia.
If @yaser ’s advice works, sell it ASAP while some other fool will still pay good money for it.
All the best!
