Larger car needed. Mid size suv suggestions

Looking to buy a larger car as me and my wife are having another baby and our Ford five hundred sedan is not large enough.

I want to get a Highlander but they’re just so dang expensive right now. I live in Arizona so I don’t need 4 wheel drive.

i did find a 2012 Kia Sorento, top trim, with 96k miles for $8,700 from a private party on craigslist. clean title, v6, with a third row (we don’t need a third row necessarily).

should I consider kia/Hyundai’s from that year and price range or should I look at a Ford Edge or old Ford Escape or something else?

should I go private seller or go to a dealer? I have plenty of cash to buy the car outright.

any ideas/ suggestions for medium size SUV’s and where to get them would be great!

Personally i would look into the honda pilot or cr-v before considering the kia if not the toyota honda is probably the way to go.

Skip all the Hyundai/Kia products as they tend to fall apart after 10yrs/100,000 miles, since they have terrible quality.

If you’re after 3 rows, consider the Toyota Highlander/Honda Pilot.

If you don’t need 3 rows, but want an SUV, look at the RAV4/CR-V.

If you’re interested in minivans, the Sienna can be a good choice too.
