Lexus for College? (Part 2)

If I were to get a Lexus es330 or 300 what mileage would be best to buy one for college? My guess would be around 150,000+ if it was maintained well.

toyota makes real well manufactured vehicles, especially in the 90s and early 2000 but your guess is correct

Might not be a great choice for a college student. The cars themselves are ok, but those had timing belts and parts are incredibly expensive. I have an 08 RX350 with 140,000 miles and I’m in my third year of college. I suggest maybe getting a later model that has the 2GRFE since you bypass the timing belt issue and those engines are ubiquitous. Also insurance is as high as a new car for me and I have a clean record. Might save some money getting a V6 Camry. Gas mileage is going to be similar in all cases and depends on how you use your car

Lower would be better!  But maintenance like you said is arguably more important than miles.  And you gotta weigh costs.  Although these cars can go well past 150k, I wouldn't buy a car past those miles unless it was really cheap.  So 150kish, good maintenance records and priced Lexus is a great place for your application imo ;  )  Have fun in school and learn a lot :  )

yes, can have quite life left.

Have a mechanic checked it out before you buy it.
