Hello Scotty, I wanted to get your opinion on a 2010 Toyota Prius. I've heard that if the car has high mileage then that means something could be wrong with the battery inside and may need to be replaced. Now I have the money to do so but I wanted to make sure if there is anything else I need to be aware of before I buy it.

How many miles? Is that the car you are set on?

According to the listing it has 162,212 miles on it.

Definitely get the battery quality checked before you buy a used one.

I have had 7 Prius have a 2017 eco..love the cars, 2010had major recall with abs system 1100 fix, make sure it was done! I would be against purchasing one with 160k miles unless under 5k. U can get new aftermarket traction batteries for 1600.00 last time I checked, fairly straight forward to install, there are several videos on it. I guess max battery life in cold climate hilly would be 180 k over that it's iffy. Rebuilts are not a good option.

Depends on the mileage it has and your yearly mileage.

If I were you and and it has more than 100,000 miles and I want to use as a daily driving car, I will pass on that car.
