Hello scotty how are you?

i bought second hand lexus gs 300 2008 with 194000 km and no history of repairs… its from a private party.. im the fifth owner.. i tooked the car to my mechanic and he changed the spark plugs, oil and filter oil, front brakes and pads and air filters… but he said he saw the gear screw ‘sweating’ and cracked, i mean the screw we open to change the gear fluids,  (i dint know the name of it) we think they never changed oil fluid. Now he is afraid if we change we will dmg the gear . What should i do???

I'm assuming "gear fluid" means "transmission fluid" and it's a common question. If your transmission fluid has never been changed, check the FAQs section under 'Maintenance'.

If it's cracked then I guess you have to replace it.

There are Scotty videos about changing auto-transmission-fluid after a (too) long time (in chunks, maintaining most of the old fluid, and repeating that on a frequent base).
