My family is looking for another SUV. I want to get a Lexus GX470. Does anyone have experience with these? Anything, in particular, I should look for when purchasing one? Can't believe how pricey they still are...

Yes they do hold their resale value quite well, and there is a reason for that. They are very well made trucks. The V8 is probably the major downside as they age they tend to need more severe repairs around 200k miles etc.

Do some research on the common problems.
Apparently the 2006 and 2003 models should be on your list to AVOID due to engine issues, specifically an air injection issue that is somewhat severe, costing on average $1500 to fix. Look out for that!
