Thoughts on Lexus IS

I see that the Lexus IS is available in three different engines, 2.0L I4 turbo, 2.5L V6 and 3.5L V6. Should anyone of these engines be avoided?  Do any of these engines have direct injection only and possible valve carbon problems?

Clarification: Which model year?

Of those I would stick with the 3.5L V6.  The 2.5L V6 was direct injection only and susceptible to carbon buildup over time.  Also, avoid the turbocharged engine (2.0L):  for longevity, naturally aspirated engines are better than turbos.

A big issue with the IS is front inner tire wear,  and you will be going through tires fairly quickly. It appears Lexus never truly addressed the root cause.  See below:

Everything Daywalker responded so, get the IS350 series preferably with AWD.
