I have a $7000 budget and like the idea of an SUV.
What Lexus RX between 2000 & 2007 would be the best buy all other things being equal?
How to evaluate mileage on this vehicle? Many are between 100 and 200k. Some are over 200k.
If I have a BlueDriver what would I find that would be a deal breaker?
The knowledge you have I can't duplicate, but what can I do to narrow things down?
If KBB, Edmunds, etc are all inflating prices, what can I use to determine a fair price for a given vehicle?
How to find someone who can do what you do with a scanner?
2003-2007 is my choice as that is more the newer style. Download all the lexus owners manuals on their site for the years interested in as thats why they look the same but the options all differ on what the owner chose when they bought them. Some may be strippos and some may be fully blown all out optioned. I always evaluate what the interior conditions is..was it kept nice orwas it careless...you will get a vibe about them and their previous owner. Most owner take care of them as they spent big bucks on them but then maybe some don't care. You be the detective. I have owned a 2003 Rx330 and also went to a 2011 RX450H - They have proven to me their careful thought to attention and detail.
They are pretty good the last year which is 2009 would be the most reliable the RX350 but all of them are bulletproof check carcomplaints.com to see common issues with some years the most significant was the dashboard melting nothing mechanical though.
