Good evening everyone hope all is well. 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the V6 cheers to lil over 199,900 miles. I was in the process of disassembling to change spark plugs and ignition coils earlier in the afternoon when I noticed after taking the throttle body out I see there's light brown fluid before the intake manifold. How I can describe the color is similar to that of motor oil. Is the fluid normal? I can submit a photo next day if I need to.
is it watery or oily? Check the tube coming from your PCV valve.
Watery
did you drive through deep water?
I haven't
@chaseboy4 It sounds to me like liquid from the PCV hose. The PCV hose connects right behind the throttle body. Both oil and water condensation come out of the crankcase through the PCV hose. https://youtu.be/pPx9DEsDZBI
You typically see oil come out PCV systems. The water that comes through is in vapor phase, and it's immediately drawn into the engine. I think it would have a really hard time condensing out enough to form liquid. In any case, photos would help greatly.

Alright I did a bit of light searching for water in the intake.
Apparently your engine, the pentastar V6, is well known for cooling system issues.
(I'm pretty sure both Scotty and Car Wizard advise to stay away from these)

Among other things, the oil cooler leaks coolant onto the intake.

There is an actual heat exchanger that sits under the upper intake. (part #9 in the drawing below)
So you could have an issue there. Step-by-step instructions to replace it with photos is here:

Some pentastars have water cooled EGR systems, but I don't think that affects your 2014

@imperator That's the oil filter housing that broke on my Sister's Jeep Grand Cherokee after she took it to Walmart for an oil change. I think they reefed on it with an oil filter wrench. Cost over $1,000 to fix it and less than a year later it started leaking again!
it's an unbelievably retarded design. I don't know who is responsible but Fiat acquired Chrysler in 2014.
@imperator Agreed, who puts an oil filter on top of the engine? When that thing leaks it pours oil all over the top of the engine and smells like straight oil inside the vehicle.
@imperator Preciate it
