Lincoln town car issue

Hello, I currently own a 2010 Lincoln town car that I purchased about 2 months back. About 3 weeks ago, I had to let the car sit until I were able to afford new calipers for the rear since they were grinding the brakes up. I just replaced the calipers yesterday and just begin driving it again today but, I discovered that the steering wheel steers harder then it did before I left it to sit. I checked all of the fluids and everything is good.

I really hope it's nothing major because this Lincoln is my favorite vehicle I have ever driven. I am 18 years old and have owned a Lincoln zephyr, Lexus LS400, Toyota sienna, and a scion xb release series and out of all of them, I like this Lincoln much much better. I have read online that some of these Lincoln town cars were recalled for rusty steering shaft which I am praying it isn't. I have already check if my lincoln was included in the recall and it isn't.

It could be many things. You need to inspect the steering system to find out what it is. Fixing car problems is almost always a process of elimination.

Start with the steering shaft and u-joint. Then make sure the steering box or rack (whatever you have) is mounted properly and not loose. Move on to the linkage (I'm not sure what type your lincoln has), but make sure all the grease points have been greased. Tug on it to make sure nothing is bent or loose etc. Look for seized tie rod ends.

I would jack up the front of the vehicle and try to turn the wheels by hand to see if I can spot anything. Worn balljoints etc.

It could be the power steering hydraulic pump just wearing out. Does it make a whine or groan sound when you turn the wheel? In my experience Fords have garbage steering and suspension. One of the reasons I never liked them.
