On my 01 LT Tahoe Chevrolet with ease, or does it require modification of any sort. I'll of course be using it as the only battery for normal spot under the hood.
Are you sure you want a big lump of lithium in your car? Have you seen what happens when those electric car batteries malfunction? They turn the car into a crater.
Kind of a waste of $700 in my opinion.
Personally, I'm not really sure.
After searching for the battery on Amazon, one of the reviews states the following below:
This is a 10ah supplemental battery. This will drain very quickly compared to regular lead or agm batteries. Because the resting voltage will be different between the titan8 and main battery, a isolator will prolong the life of the titan8 which has a higher resting voltage. You can use it without isolator but the lithium will always be drawn down from the main battery.
For, what purpose?
Can I use
It might fit.. "Should I use" is a different question
I'll of course be using it as the only battery
I wouldn't recommend it. Especially if the Tahoe is your daily driver. These type batteries are often used as "secondary batteries". Currently, they're an "unproven novelty" IMO.
Now.. If you are just playing around with a newer technology on an extra vehicle, go for it.
I am not really sure if it is plug and play like a normal battery.
I know Lithium batteries are popular as an aftermarket upgrade for racing modified vehicles to have less weight. But then again, racers usually do a ton of other things to their car. Heck some of these racers even relocate the battery to a different location.
Perhaps look into the racing community forums to gather thoughts on whether it is easy or hard to deal with.
