I'm thinking about buying a Mercedes benz GLC 220 D coupe used in the UK from autotrader, but im worried about the reliability of Mercedes in the UK and weather I'd be putting myself at a disadvantage financially.

Well the ones you sell in the United States are endless money pissed but if you're getting a German made diesel they're usually pretty dependable

If you’re serious about it, don’t buy it without having it thoroughly inspected by a professional mechanic, before purchase.
Also, check the vehicle’s history on warranty part replacements.
