- I'm looking at an F-150 but the only engine options are a 5.0 V8 that has a stop start. And a turbocharged V6. I also looked at Toyota's and they only have a turbocharged V6.
All 2026 which would be the best option and is there something that I may be missing?

Don't buy any Ford with that disaster of a 10-speed automatic transmission. It was produced via a GM-Ford joint venture that ended with both companies saying they will never work together again. They've also had several recalls specific to the transmission. Google 10R80 Recalls and you'll see what I mean.
I'd look for the last model year that Toyota offered a V8 in the Tundra, or get a pre-2017 5.0.
Ford's engineers produced a license-built copy of a ZF 6-speed transmission and termed it the 6R80. They put them in their F-150s and Mustangs. Ford started manufacturing that transmission in 2011 and they got the kinks with lead frames worked out by 2014. I have that transmission in both my truck and Mustang. Both my truck and Mustang have naturally aspirated V6s in them.
My truck has 169k miles and still shifts like a dream. As long as you keep up with fluid changes, it will last good while longer than that 10-speed.
We get this question A LOT. You can use the search and read the answers. No new trucks are reliable. Scotty recommends older Tundras.
