Hello all, Hope everyone is doing well in all this madness going on, One of my family members is looking for a three row vehicle with decent towing capabilities, Does anyone have any suggestions?
You've got to be more specific about "decent" towing capacity. I used to have no problems towing a 19' boat with my Sienna - on flat land, short distances. Change that to a 5k pound travel trailer over mountains, and it would be totally inadequate. Not that many vehicles have "towing packages" which include items like transmission coolers and heavy duty suspension and brakes - make sure that your choice has these items, or that you can retrofit them.
How about the Highlander?
If they really want to tow a good amount, a Toyota Sequoia is a good option. It has 3 row seating and a big V8, which will easily tow. An older Chevrolet Suburban could also be a good option because of the V8 - I would recommend a 2000-2006. They were still quite well made back then and also have 3 row seating.
Do not get any recent GM or FCA product, esp. if you plan on keeping for a long time! Also, how much do you need to tow and how often would you be towing?
Toyota Tundra
The title says "three row"
my bad, I meant Sequoia.
