Hey Scotty,
I’ve had my 05 Honda Accord, (Ronda the Honda), for 5 years. I bought it for $3,000 when I turned 16, and it has been an absolute unit with no issues.
It now has over 260,000 miles on it, & has developed some bumps and bruises over the years. It’s also getting tired, and it’s now time for me to purchase a new (to me) vehicle.
I watched your video on the Nissan Rouge’s, as I was strongly considering them, I know you said you weren’t pleased with the CVT transmissions, and I have yet to hear anything positive about them- so I think I’ll probably pass on those.
With that being said, of course I’d like to stay loyal to Honda, however I know the CRV’s also now have the CVT Transmissions. I’m not sure if the Toyota RAV4 has it or not, but they do seem to be a bit higher than I would like to go in terms of price. The other Toyota’s such as the Land Cruiser and the 4Runner are just too large for my preferences as I am used to my tiny accord.
Now I’m feeling very confused as to where to look. I of course want to stay away from the CVT transmissions, but I’m just not sure what I can find. All I know is I'd like an SUV that will last me a few years.
Thank you
-Tyler
You like Hondas get the CRV Honda makes their own CRV transmissions then do not have problems with any of the later model ones
Have you also looked at the Mazda CX-5 or CX-30 with the true and tried 2.5L naturally aspirated (NA) I4 and 6-speed regular automatic? Look at the brochure but there were model years (2018-newer) and certain trims which offered cylinder deactivation in that engine - which should be avoided.
