Hey Scotty, I'm currently looking at a 1998 Ford Contour SVT with 151k miles, they are asking $3990 for it, i looked around for reviews on the car and i found positive things on it i just want the opinion from a pro, thanks in advance.
Those cars are WORTHLESS. Even inflated KBB values show a starting value of 200 bucks or something.
Honestly no more than $800 for that car and thats if everything is in good shape. $3900 seems ridiculous.

Well, it's probably not quite that bad. It might be worth $850 if in exceptionally good condition.
It being an SVT vehicle, I could see $800. But that is MAX. They don't really have any value whatsoever.
I agree with Kerem. You can do better.
For $4k you should be able to find a used car from this millenium
