lost pedal pressure after mixing hydraulic clutch fluid and gravity bleeding

Hello I thought it would be okay to try BMW hydraulic clutch fluid in my 97 nissan 240sx with 120k miles

It says on the bottle do not mix fluids or contaminate and I beleive it is mineral oil. I was doing gravity bleeding to the slave, and then noticed it went down to a slow drip, then i pressed it in to try to clear it out, and once I closed bleeder and returned the pedal it has no pressure now.

What are my options here, I have a spare slave and master in the closet.

Most likely that your problem is air in the system. Try bleeding it again with a helper to press the clutch while you open and close the bleeder, or use a vacuum pump if you have one and know how to do it. I believe your clutch uses DOT 3 brake fluid, I would completely bleed it a few times until only DOT 3 was left. Good luck.

It was the master seal expanding and siezed now.

Thanks for the update. You might as well replace the slave cylinder as well since you have one already. Use the brake fluid to be on the safe side.

My plans are to brake clean the line, hit it with a compressor. It was a new slave and rebuilt master, with a new master sitting in my closet I didn't touch for 2 years now. and I removed it before the mineral fluid got to it. seems to be leak free.

Best of luck to you!
