hi Scott
I love your videos I think i saw in wood lake camp ground last summer I wanted to say hi but didnt want to bug you in your vacation.
I have a toyota 2002 highlander v6 awd. My issue is I have lots and lots of smoke when I start in the morning and then goes away after maybe driving for 4 minutes
I used 3 different types of additives to the freshly changed oil to stop the smoke but nothing worked and seems like the smoke is getting worse I have adequate amount of oil and i dont lose any coolant and the car doesnt over heat.
I have a faulty 02 sensor code p1155 which I ordered expecting next few days but I'm not sure if this can cause the smoke or it could be a head gasket not sure
Any advice on how to fix this problem my neighbors hate me every morning and its embarrassing
Thanks
Emad
Thanks in advance

What color is the smoke?
On cold, extremely humid mornings, you're going to get a certain amount of condensation through the engine causing a translucent, white smoke for a couple of minutes. If the smoke is opaque white, doesn't go away and the car idles roughly, you are losing the head gasket. You can get a test kit to check for exhaust in the cooling system or a dry/wet compression test to confirm the head gasket is good or bad.
If that bad oxygen sensor is causing a very rich condition it could cause the excessive smoke at start up. How’s the fuel economy?
An overly rich condition would cause black, not white smoke.
Smoke starts at white and turns into blue
Fuel economy is bad I noticed
Blue smoke is an indication of burning oil. Translucent white smoke is condensation. Opaque white smoke shows burning coolant. Black or dark smoke indicates and extremely rich mixture.
