Hello. New to this forum. I have a 2016 Ford F150 Platinum FX4, 83,500 miles. bought it used.
There is a low roar/grinding sound coming from left front tire/wheel area only when I'm driving or cruising from about 1mph-10mph. When I get up to speed, it seems to go away, then I'll slow back down and can hear/feel it roar and grind starting at 10mph and slower. Pressing the brakes doesn't seem to affect the noise. I'm wondering if it's the beginning of the wheel bearing going out? or maybe sounds like rusty brakes? (but brakes look ok I believe, although a little rusty). Just hoping it's not the transmission or anything starting to act up.
What's throwing me off is that when I speed up, I don't hear or feel the roar/grind anymore. Anyway, thank you for any input!
Well that's kind of a classic wheel bearing noise. So I have the wheel bearing checked. Also check to see if the brake pads or anything are worn and rubbing
