Hi everyone, i just make a transmission fluid replacement (No flush) on my subaru legacy 2009 4 speed automatic, everything was good 9I think so) but during my research to make this process all the places that I visit says that the magnetic plug takes some metallic dust but mine was totally clean, is that normal? or means that the magnet isn't working or means anything else? i make the differential fluid change too and the magnetic plug in this case had some metallic plug linked the videos that I saw before. SOmedoy to know about transmissions can give me an idea why my transmission magnetic plug don't take any metallic dust?

Thank you so much

maybe you have a non-magnetic plug. Did you test it to see if it picks up metal? Sometimes magnets are put in the bottom of the pan.

What did the fluid that came out during your change look like?

Unfortunalety i didnt test if the plug was magnetic or not, I was running again the sunset to finish the work and honestly totally forgot test it.

The fluid that came out was so dark, probably the previous owner never replace it so I think that the color was normal, the fluid didn't have any piece of metal or anything solid or strange (At least what i can see), just very used transmission fluid.
