Make your car run better with a little spray cleaner

2009 Pontiac vibe AWD 2.4L

I had cleaned my maf sensor and throttle yesterday and upon starting it this morning for work, it was idling really high, about 1200 RPM. My check engine light, AWD light, and traction control light turned on shortly after. Codes tripped were P0171 (system lean), exactly what I expected, and P0441 (incorrect purge flow), which was strange to me. The data was way out of wack, short term fuel trim of 34%, maf sensor almost 4 grams per second.

Codes have already been erased by my scan tool.

I had a little bit of difficulty getting the air intake hose back on the throttle because the clamp was giving me a hard time. The screws holding the MAF sensor in was rusted away so I couldn't just remove the sensor. The airbox had to come off. It sat for the duration of trying to get the intake hose on.

I suspect I may have forgotten something while reassembling everything. The engine is currently cooling down after having driven home from work.

Any tips or advice is appreciated.

Sounds similar to the problem I had when I cleaned the throttle body/air intake on my 06 accord. I found out that I had to do a Idle Relearn Procedure and it fixed the problem. You can either Google or YouTube: Pontiac Vibe Idle Relearn Procedure. Do that and that should fix your problem.

Let me know if that fixes it! I'm no expert but I had a similar issue like yours only I had my check engine light and 2 codes P0455/P0507 and my car was idling at about 1300 rpm and rode funky. After I did that procedure everything is working back to normal and as it should!
