I have Nissan Altima Sedan 2013. Recently I had to replace old spark plugs with ones, but next day the MIL (malfunction indicator light) came on, the light was steady. So I had to call the repair shop again and they said would look at it again which they replaced the ignitions coils. Shortly after the MIL came on (steady light) again so now I already contacted the same shop again. Of course, these repair items are expensive but oddly enough they didn't charge me. You don't have to believe me on that, it was odd. Currently, my car jerks lightly and I don't have my OBD-II reader. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
We would need to know what codes are being triggered causing the light . It is fairly common for those cars to have timing solenoid concerns that’ll cause a misfire and light. Since they are going after engine components it’s less likely to be a cvt concern. The only other thing I would have checked is fuel pressure to make sure it’s not weak causing a misfire or drive ability concern
Ok i used ODB-II and the codes I got are P0300 #738 and P0303 #738, so I'm not sure whether if one or both are happening and also I smelled rotten eggs when driving but I'm no mechanic and I not car person. This is the best I can I do.
P0300 is more than one cylinder is seeing a misfire and P0303 is just for cylinder 3 . As long as the coils and plugs are good that we’re installed I would lean toward the intake and lock timing solenoids. They are fairly common and will cause this concern
