Hey Scotty it’s me The BlackTop. I know you answer my question of my Automatic Tranny but I don’t care anymore because I’m planning to manual swap my 02 civic with a remanufacture tranny (Racing name: CivicR) to become a racing civic but I want to know what parts I need for the Manual transmission but that is just one of my projects for my CivicR because there is many Projects for that Civic. Thanks
As has been pointed out it would be a whole lot better to just buy a manual version of the car in good condition as a starting point.
However if you really want to pull off the swap you should have a parts car because there are so many things that need to be changed. (The parts car can be rusted and doesn't even need to run but should obviously have a good transmission.)
To get an idea of what you'd be in for, here is the first video in a series where a guy is doing a manual swap in an old Saab 900 turbo - you'll be able to easily find the rest of the series on his channel. (It's a popular swap on those since the automatic transmissions in them were garbage.) Anyhow, the details will of course be different due to the unique layout of the 900's powertrain, and you'll need to also deal with electronics, but this gives you an idea of how much mechanical work is involved in doing that kind of swap...

I want to know what parts I need
1. Sell your automatic Civic.
2. Buy a manual Civic (which is in good condition, checked out by a pro mechanic).
Keep the floor mats from the automatic.
That way you can still call it a "swap"
Even they may foul with the clutch pedal travel..
You’re right. Swap everything but keep the gas cap.
Basically, everything. Manual swaps are doable but alot of work, and requires a good bit of skill.
From what ive seen online, alot of people who do manual swaps get a 2nd donor car to take parts from that. Maybe start looking around in junkyards and get a wrecked one or something cheap.
Would a 2002 Acura EL be a donor?
