[Solved] Mazda 3 tighten bolts on body and chassis?

Topic starter

Hello! So one of the things to do for my Mazda 3 is to tighten and torque the bolts on the body and chassis every 30k miles. Is this really necessary? Also which bolts are they talking about? Is there a diagram online somewhere that tells me which bolts specifically? Thank you!!

can you show where you read this?

Try it. See if they're getting loose.

@mountainmanjoe it was in the owners manual. I figured out which bolts to tighten!! Thank you though!

I hope you have the correct torque values and a high quality torque wrench before you just go tightening everything.  You could do a lot of damage.

@Doc yes! I found the repair manual and it has the torque specs listed. I have a tekton torque wrench.

Excellent!

I know this is from years ago but I wanted to give it a shot anyways. Do you still have the info on how what bolts to tighten and stuff?

I tried the owners manual and a repair manual but couldn't find anything except it needs to be done.

Any help greatly appreciated. 🙏

He won't see your post, and you need to post your vehicle details.
Trying looking on charm.li

Oh dang, why won't he see it? Did I respond to the wrong post? And my car is a Mazda 3 2018 GT hatch. I looked on charm.li and it goes up to 2014 and it's only the 6 and CXs. 🥲
