Hi, I heard that Mada 5 cars are small minivans, but is it really good to get the use ones like 2015 models even if they are Japense cars same as Cx9 2015 ones because I know the current CX9s are expensive MSRP? And I heard negative reviews about the Subaru Ascent which I unsure if its ture?

Yes the Subaru Ascent does have a lot of electrical and accessory issues.

Also the transmission on it seems to be a lot less reliable than on other models.

Well they aren't.

The Mazda5 is based on the Ford Focus, and the CX-9 is based on the Ford Fusion.

I wouldn't recommend even a new CX-9 as it has a Turbo engine and those burn lots and lots oil.

For that price? just get a Toyota or a Honda.

Basically, neither. But if I had to choose one, the Mazda5 is the most reasonable out of these three models.

1.Wow, when you say burn for the new CX9 is it regarding to fire? 2. Does this issue also happen to mazda 5?

1.
No.
Your engine has oil inside of it, its meant to lubricate the inside of the engine.
On poorly built engines, this oil gets in places where. it's not supposed to be.
The result is that oil gets inside of the cylinder and is burned together with gasoline.
So you end up constantly having to add oil (1L/1000miles)
2.
Any engine will burn oil with enough wear.
The Mazda5 if not used for very short trips, usually does't begin burn oil until 150k miles - 200k miles.

So, both Mazda's have this issue with their engine's which require maintenance much such as oil changes during 150K miles if purchase at this time now if use like the Mazda 5's from 2012 or 2015 after being discountinue?

90% of modern cars will burn oil at 150k, on the Mazda 5 it's quite uncommon so I wouldn't worry about it too much (unless it has already began burning it, check the tail pipe for oil).
Quite honestly? 150k on a Ford focus based car? a bit of oil consumption is likely to be the least of your worries - that's about as much as the transmissions last.

Anyhow, for what it is - it is alright.
Better than most cars, but ain't that great either.
If you need the seating capacity - sure why not...

1.what do you mean by oil consumptions? 2. And when check tailpipe for il do i have to press the gas from inside car driver seat?

1. I explained, here's just an article: https://www.cars.com/articles/how-much-oil-consumption-is-normal-1420682864535/
But it's simple, you have oil - it goes missing, where did it go? in the combustion cylinder.
How much oil do you have? usually 3-5L, some cars, like turbo Mazdas, burn 1L/1000KM meaning you need to add it constantly.

Oh i get it. Basically is blue smoke coming out of the tailpipe as not normal gas. So, in this way i should rather check the dipstick of how much oil is need or already add and asks a car mechanic to inspect for any issues like oil leak?

Well either Mazda would be fine I wouldn't mess with the Subaru

If the cx9 or mazda 5 age over 5 or 7 years old, do you consider is still good, even though it's been maintained or not?
