Hello everyone,
I have a 1995 Mercedes c220 with 238k miles, the transmission shifts hard when accelerating, when going uphill it wont downshift. i have no idea when the transmission fluid was last replaced, what should i do?

Check the ATF condition and level, but with that many miles the tranny might just be on it's last leg.

I’d do a full fluid exchange, if the unit is non repairable, this will confirm it.
Before doing so, check the fluid level just to make sure your not low.
