I wanted to share with the forum that my 2004 Toyota Prius is now officially part of the 299,999+ club.
The odometer of this generation Prius (and the same era of Matrix) stops counting at 299,999. As Scotty says with non-safety issues, “just live with it.”
And all this with basic maintenance. The only things I did have to change out over the past the hybrid battery at ~275K and both water pumps.
It’s further evidence of Toyota’s reputation for reliability and longevity. I don’t know how much longer it can go. And I am open to suggestions. I’m going to keep it going as long as possible without breaking the bank.
Congratulations... If you're really curious about actual mileage over that, you could use your "trip B" odometer to continue the counting. Maybe someone with an advanced Techstream might be able to alter your odometer too. 😮
Thanks!
I still consider you a member of the 300,000+ mile club. As a fellow member of that club myself, welcome and congratulations!
Thank you!
Amazing!
I do see a lot of older Prius cars on the road. That says a lot.
