2003 Saturn vue manual 180k miles, the car only cranks over once then is dead, put it on jumper cables and the same thing, one crank then nothing. I tested the battery and it puts out right around 3 volts. Since nothing happens when it’s on jumper cables, is there a deeper problem than just the battery or will a new battery fix the problem

If you are only getting 3 volts on your current battery, replace the battery immediately.

Even when jumped, a battery that dead will act against the jump.
