I'm the original owner of a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7l V6. It has 174,000 miles and I have been very careful to keep up on all the maintenance and quick to repair problems when they appear. Now the valve cover gaskets are leaking and I can smell the oil sometimes dripping onto the exhaust manifolds. Should spend the money to have the gaskets replaced or just keep putting in oil every couple of weeks?
I hope you enjoy Tennessee.

Depends on the repair cost. If the repair cost is higher than the car value, just add oil till the wheels fall off.
