Mystery Leak

Hello everyone. 2001 Honda Civic LX 5-Speed cheers to a lil over 160K miles. Clutch fluid keeps getting low depending on how long I drive. I see no visible drips nor do I see any fluid on the ground and I'm under a question mark as to where the fluid is going... is this a sign I need to have the clutch slave cylinder replaced oooorrrrrr...

I've not had that specific car, but on others I've had with hydraulic clutch its generally the slave cylinder.  Seems like I had more trouble in winter, I think the rubber inside it shrinks.  I used to have to do that often on an Rx7 I had years ago.  If you aren't seeing fluid, It may be collecting and evaporating, and I would expect it is only leaking when you actually use the clutch so you wouldn't really see it collecting under the car.

If you do replace it, buy a good quality new slave cylinder.  I wouldn't try to rebuild it, I tried that multiple times but I apparently stink at it.  You might do better, but easiest route is a good quality new one.

I would recommend replacing the clutch master and slave cylinders at the same time.

Will do
