Need advice for non-competitive karting

I like speed, but I don't have much interest in competition. My plan is to buy an affordable kart and just drive around cones, solo. I have experience in rental karts capable of about 50 MPH. The nearest tracks are too far away to keep doing the rental thing. I'm looking for something that will do about the speed of those rentals. Is 9 hp enough? I would like something fairly reliable, as I don't have a lot of disposable income. What should I look for? Also, what's the list of tools I'll need at minimum?

Silly me. Why on Earth would I think I could get advice on karting on the forum of a man who just posted a video about karting?

I wish Scotty's standards for moderators were as high as his standards for cars.

Scotty posted a video these days when visiting a racetrack. He commented some gokarts there, also a 9HP one.

Check it out, maybe you will find the answer.

Good luck.

This is not a gokart forum. Buy a used cart online. Please keep your questions related to cars we have a lot of question on here so please be respectful of the moderators. ty
