Hi Scotty,

I love your channel and get to learn a lot of new knowledge through your YouTube channel. I like to know what you think about the Honda Insight 2010 model.

My car fuel consumption is around 7.2 L/100km to 7.6 L / 100 km. The car sales promotion always said around 4 L / 100km to 5.5 L /100km. Are those marketing scams to increase sales?

I have changed the new spark plugs to have a new aftermarket hybrid battery. Changed the Hybrid Battery fans. New tyres but the fuel consumption is still nowhere near what it was advertised. I have used Fuel injector cleaner on the machine but the fuel consumption is still high. Am I missing something?

Thank you. Hope to hear from you soon.

Well I'd have to see the car in person and put up my fancy hybrid car analyzer to see what's going on. But anything from the wrong tires to two heavy oil in the engine to a problem. In the hybrid battery you said you have a reconditioned one but that doesn't mean squat because a lot of times they don't recondition them that well. I would be able to tell you the actual state of charge of that battery cuz if the battery is weak you're going to get creepy gas mileage. Try to find a guy like me to do that

I wish to seek your help but I am based in Australia. It is not possible to get your help

thank you for your reply

Are those marketing scams to increase sales?

In a word, yes.

Those numbers are obtained in ideal lab conditions or just fudged.

It's pretty public knowledge now that car companies have absolutely no qualms about lying and cheating.
