Should I buy a 2005 Toyota Prius with 175K miles?

The private seller of this car is the second owner since new. The car has been serviced at a local Toyota dealership (also by the previous owner) with service records showing punctual maintenance. As a result I know mileage hasn't been tampered with. The hybrid battery has been changed two years ago at the dealership. From reading in this forum I see that a major risk lies with the generator. Is there a way to see if it's going out?

Price is quite reasonable for the Greek market, c. $6.5K.

I'm thinking of having a mechanic check the the car, would it help checking compression too?

What do you think, should I go for it?

What is the price of a new generator?
Yes, compression and vacuum test give you a very good idea about the health of the engine.
