New Brake Squeal

Hello Everyone,

My car is a 2008 Toyota Camry Le V6

I just change my brake and rotor for all four wheels at my local mechanic around half a month ago. The first week is fine and no squealing, however from the second weeks where it starts squealing so much from all four wheels. It was a Semi-Metallic brake. Is there any way I can stop the squeal or reduce it? Thank everyone so much!

the link to where the brake I bought:

Often times when it comes to squealing, I find that it is most of the time due to not having enough anti-sieze on the parts necessary. It doesn't have to be caked on but you should use enough just to insure no problems in the future. I also have found that most of the time it be the shims that actually cause the noise and not the brake pad itself. Though a cheap brake pad may lead to more noise and dust. If you can look into where your calipers are you should be able to see a cooperish or silver ish compound that should be pretty visible. If you don't see any at all on any of the wheels then not enough of anti-sieze is probably why. I also have people who swear by Permatex Disk Brake Quiet, but I don't like this or recommend this product. Does the whole car vibrate as it is in all 4 brakes? How hard are you braking as well? If it's not OE and you are braking the same as OE that could also be reason. Especially if you got a heavy foot like me.

I only pressed a little bit then apply more force later if need stop. Also, I don't see the silver compound that you were talking about maybe the lack of lubrication is why lol, thank you so much!

My guess: Cheap pads. Four rotors and pads for $185 is cheap, perhaps too cheap.

Hello, Thank you for your response!
I wished I know this earlier lol, this is my 1st car so I'm still learning how to fix stuff, should I change to a ceramic brake? I see many people said it better and won't squeak. Is there any brand that you can recommend for me to buy in the future that would be great! I'm still a college student so my budget is a bit tight but I willing to pay for a good part that work for a long time!

Akebono makes OEM or better pads.
