Hey Scotty so my step father needs opinions on buying a new vehicle particularly a pre-owned one within the years of 2000 to maybe 2016. He's interested in getting a new vehicle he currently owns a 1996 Toyota Camry LE which has already 189,000 miles. He  particularly wants either Toyota or Honda preferably maybe an Accord,Camry, Corolla, or Civic. Please let me know which model years are the best especially for a man who is nearly 70 years old where if you can recommend other models like the CRV or the RAV4 that would be great thanks so much Scotty I love your channel 😃

CRV or the RAV4

At that age, a small crossover would be much easier to get in/out of.

Pick the RAV4 without the oil burning engines or the CR-V with the 2.4L non turbocharged engine.

All the best!

Perhaps consider the 4 cylinder Honda Accord Crosstour. It kinda splits the difference between an SUV and a sedan.

I would recommend the first generation Venza, but some of them had the oil burning issues too, so I would avoid most. Unless you know what to look for.

🤣

Hey Scotty my old man wants a car for old people that's easy to get in and out of. 🤣 🤣

Sorry, that just struck me as funny. Don't underestimate older folks people. My grandfather was still a plumber lifing radiators at 70, and my other grandfather could still dig a trench after a lifetime of labouring at the same age.

But yeah, I'd pick the Rav4 as you want something as well as all the other stuff that I hear also has good views through the cabin. And we all know old folks are blind as bats. 🤣
