My car is a 2021 Camry SE 2.5L i4 with 8 speed AT. Should I get an oil change after my first 1000 miles? Or I can just go by the manual and change the oil after 5000 miles?
Two main opinions are out there: One says that you do not need and the other one is completely opposite. I would change it for peace of my mind.
See below: up to you, but change the engine oil no later than every 5,000 miles.

Most new cars have additives added to the oil for break in period and discourage a premature oil change. I would highly recommend just following the books recommended maintenance schedule.
Would you mind double checking the oil change intervals? I thought newer Toyota’s have an interval of 10,000 mile oil changes. With that said either way, I have hesitation going 10K between oil changes.
Neither Toyota, nor Scotty say that you need to change it at 1k. I think that practice is a relic from the past.
