Trying to decide between a 2018 Nissan Frontier V6 4x2 with 30,000 miles for $22,000 or a 2018 Honda Ridgeline for $26,000 to $30,000 with around 50,000 miles. I will only be towing about 1500-2000 pounds. Should the Nissan be good enough to be worth saving the money? Thanks!
I'd go Frontier for a proper truck you would save a few thousand and they are good trucks so I'd get that the Ridgeline is based on the Pilot/Passport with a unibody so that might be a better daily driver/"comfort" oriented truck.
I would go with the Frontier on that because it is a much better truck and Nissan makes their trucks pretty good. 22K is pretty steep for that though however, it can be a pretty good truck.
Yeah used cars sell for more in my area of Texas. I'll try looking further away for a better price
Frontiers and Honda Ridgelines are decent trucks. I would go Frontiers for towing and hauling things. Ridgelines are good daily drivers.
Frontier would be my choice.
I would go with the Nissan Frontier on this one. Up to MY 2019 they built pretty solid trucks and that engine and transmission combo is true and tried. With the Honda Ridgeline, realize the 3.5L V6 (J35Y6) has both direct injection-only (susceptible to carbon buildup compared to the Frontier which has port injection) and cylinder deactivation (susceptible to engine wear/damage and oil consumption over time) - even if you disable via aftermarket (through software) the hardware is still intact. For piece of mind, go with the Nissan Frontier.
The Frontier is the better truck. The Honda would be more comfortable but would not be able to tow as much.
