I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue, with 186000 on it. Was running perfectly until the transmission stopped working. Stranded on the side of the highway. A reputable shop want 8000 to fix it.

Any ideas? Am I screwed by nissan and their cvt problems? Or is there a fix or this

That's pretty typical with those. Amazing it lasted as long as it did. Time to shop for another car.

Yeah. Sorry to say you’re pretty much screwed. There is the a fix, but it is basically replacing the transmission.
