Scott, I just moved and finally found a car I could afford, I paid $700 for a 1993 Mazda MX-3 GS hatchback with a 1.8 ltr. V6, I want to use an android obd app but do not know what type of obd connector I need. Can you help me out?

it's a 28yo vehicle, so it's still on the first generation obd system (I'm pretty sure). The diagnostics aren't terribly sophisticated so it probably doesn't make sense spending money on scanning tools for it.  Especially since your future vehicles will have OBD2. The nice thing about OBD1 is if you ever get a check engine light, you can just jumper two pins on the OBD port, and your dash will flash out a code which you can look up. All it costs you is a paper clip. Good luck.
