Odyssey vs Pilot reliability comparison

If Honda minivan's have such bad 6 sp transmission and J35 engine issues according to scotty, why wouldn't Pilots have the same problems. For the most part, don't they have the same drivetrains for the 2010-2020 erra except for higher model pilots with 10sp transmission? I'm just wondering if I made a poor choice with a 6sp 2020 pilot. Seems like they call for more frequent drain and fill on the transmission (30k) than most other cars and sounds like it's a solonoid controlled manual transmission in theory. I knew I was getting into a timing belt interference engine. It's direct injected but I have not heard of anyone having fouled valves. I see some good reviews of pilot and poor reviews of odyssey so wondering why? They are very similar vehicles underneath the exterior.

I actually don't know why but I've never seen problems with the pilot. Automatic transmissions. Must have something to do with just the way it's designed the power weight balance and the pilot versus a van. But the vans were absolutely crappers

For some weird reason the Pilots are better made than Odyssey even though they have similar powertrain.

Thanks for the reply! That's pretty strange. They are both built in the same factory too, I think. At least both in Alabama. I've seen a few posts about transmission issues on pilots but not many. Mostly the torque converter. Must be the same with the ridgeline because it's the same thing as a pilot. I saw on one of your videos that you said there is no external transmission filter on these. There is, it's under the battery and inline so easy to replace if you remove the battery tray. I saw it when I installed the factory transmission cooler on mine. Looks exactly like a fuel filter. The minivan's must be built on the night shift!

I could be wrong, but I thought the problems were from the the ZF 9 speed transmissions, not the Honda 6 speed transmissions?
