Oil Consumption Issue

Hi, I have a 2015 GMC Terrain. It currently has 202,000 miles, I drive almost 100 miles in it everyday and it has a major oil consumption problem to the point i'm adding 1-2 quarts a week. It runs fine, I get oil changes regularly but no one seems to know what is wrong. There is no leaks or burning. Every 2-3 months the engine light will come on and go back off after a day showing a P0014 code for "Exhaust Camshaft Position System Performance" but that's it. Any suggestions are so helpful, thank you.

There is no leaks or burning.

That is not true. The oil isn't disappearing into the Twilight Zone. It is either leaking or burning. There are no other choices.

You could try changing your PCV valve if not already done. Other than that if the oil is not leaking your engine is worn out. (Even if you have good compression it is possible for the oil rings to wear out before the compression rings.)

Using some UV dye might locate oil leaks that are not otherwise obvious.

Note that engine problems are the top complaint for that model:

I'm sorry, I meant to put no leaks like under the vehicle. I appreciate you for your help.

Any oil deposits on the spark plugs?

A car either leaks oil or burns oil. If there are no leaks your car is burning oil. At 1-2 qts a week.. that's a lot of oil and it's likely wore out. What size engine 2.4 or 3.6?
