Oil filter question

This may sound silly, but does anyone know of an oil filter with the same thread/seat as the stock 5.4 but 3-4x the capacity?

I used to do this on my small block Chevys, get the largest truck/van filter I could find for added filtration & slightly better oil cooling with the extra two quarts.

Looking at the 5.4 (whether direct mount or remote filter), the only option feels like spinning on a tuna can. Tons of space to fit a much larger can, just need to find the model which would fit.

Any suggestions? Even if it's double the size I'd call that an improvement to "normal" for a V8.

slightly better oil cooling

is it overheating?

Nope, it's mainly that I started doing that about 20 years ago & liked the results.

The oil was noticeably cleaner, naturally I attribute that to having more than double the filter media thanks to the thermos sized filter.

When I look at this truck with all the heavy duty this & that along with weighing in at 2,000lbs more than the F150 I had with the same engine before adding my tools in, I want to do all I can.

Still haven't been able to drive it far yet as I've been fixing just about everything, come summer if it's on the road, cheap piece of mind.

filter size doesn't clean better. It just reduces resistance for high flow engines. "cleaning power" is determined by mesh size, and the number of times the oil cycles through it.

I would think that any filter with 3/4" dia. female threads would fit but you'd have to do some research on one quart and larger filters to find one to fit yours.  I would go to the manufacturers web sites and check their filter specifications list to find something.
