I have changed the oil from 10w30 to 5w30 and the filter to make sure the drain back valve was good. The light still comes on. I only have an oil pressure light and no gauge so should I buy a kit and check with gauge.

Have someone sit in the car, you under the hood, wiggle the pigtail on the oil pressure sensor and see if there is a change.
