Oil sample analysis

I got my oil sample analysis back from Blackstone and they said my iron levels are twice as high as usual I want to know whether or not I should be concerned also if someone notices anything else out of the usual let me know. 2010 CVPI (crown Vic police interceptor) 140k mi 1560 engine hr

That sounds pretty reasonable for being an ex Police Interceptor. That car got the living crap beat out of it. Higher than normal iron means your engine is wearing out faster than usual.

thanks for posting your report. It's always interesting to see these.

 

To me it just looks like higher than normal engine wear. I don't think it highlight anything in particular that you need to address. This car was simply "highly enjoyed". Nothing much you can do about it now. Just drive it normally and maintain regularly, and I'm sure you can still get many years out of it.
